  • We collect your personal info (name, phone, ID) and financial data (bank accounts via Plaid, tax records) to help you with taxes and bookkeeping
  • We use AI to help process your info faster, but a human always reviews and approves recommendations before we act
  • We share data only with trusted partners like Plaid, Supabase, Twilio, Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), and Google Workspace — all bound by strict confidentiality
  • You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS or WhatsApp messages, request your data anytime, or ask us to delete it (within legal limits)
  • We encrypt your data, use industry-standard security, and keep your information safe

About us and what we do

Latamlink LLC runs the SentinelOS platform to help you with tax preparation, bookkeeping, and accounting. We want you to understand exactly how we handle your information, so we've laid it out here in plain language.

Information we collect

Personal details

When you fill out our secure client workspace or onboarding forms, we ask for basics like your name, email, phone number, and mailing address. We also collect identification information (like your SSN, ITIN, or EIN) and date of birth when needed for tax preparation. All of this sensitive information is encrypted the moment you submit it, and stays encrypted while we hold it. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL in transit, encryption at rest in Supabase) so your data is never exposed in the clear.

Financial information

To help you with taxes and bookkeeping, we need to see your financial picture. That includes bank account details (which you securely connect via Plaid), income statements, tax returns, business transaction data, and payment information. This helps us give you accurate advice and prepare your filings properly.

Business information

If you're self-employed or own a business, we collect info about your business structure, registration details, where you operate, and any employees or contractors you work with. This helps us understand your tax situation more fully.

Messages and communication

We keep records of emails, text messages, WhatsApp messages, and any questions or feedback you send us. This helps us track your case and respond to your needs.

Usage information

When you use our platform, we automatically collect technical info like your IP address, browser type, device details, and which pages you visit. This helps us improve the platform and catch any issues.

How we use AI (and why humans still decide)

We use AI and machine learning to help us work faster. AI helps us read through the information and documents you submit, pull out the important details, and suggest recommendations. But here's the key: AI is just an assistant. Every recommendation, every decision about your case is reviewed and approved by a real, qualified person before anything happens. AI speeds things up, but humans always make the final call on your case.

Who we share your information with

We work with trusted partners to deliver our services. All of them are required to keep your information confidential:

Text messages and WhatsApp

When you share your phone number with us and opt in through our public consent form at app.latamlinkus.com/sms, we may contact you by SMS text message and by WhatsApp message with updates about your case. The categories of messages we send on both channels are: engagement and scheduling confirmations, appointment reminders, document requests, and filing-status notifications. Message frequency varies based on your case and typically ranges from 5 to 15 messages over the engagement period (approximately 30 to 90 days). Message and data rates may apply for SMS; WhatsApp messages are delivered over the internet and may incur data charges from your mobile carrier.

Opting in to receive SMS or WhatsApp messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from Latamlink LLC. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS or WhatsApp message you receive from us, and you can reply HELP for help on either channel. Opting out of one channel does not opt you out of the other; reply STOP on each channel you wish to leave.

We will not share your mobile phone number, your SMS opt-in consent, or your WhatsApp opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that receive your mobile number are the service providers that help us deliver the messages you signed up for — specifically, Twilio, which transmits SMS on our behalf, and Meta (the WhatsApp Business Platform), which delivers WhatsApp messages on our behalf. No mobile opt-in data, SMS consent data, or WhatsApp consent data is sold, rented, or shared for any other purpose.

WhatsApp messages are delivered through the official WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., and are subject to Meta's privacy terms in addition to this policy. We use the WhatsApp Business API solely to send transactional updates to our own enrolled customers; we do not use it to message non-customers, run marketing campaigns to third-party audiences, or operate on behalf of any other business.

How we protect your data

Your security matters to us. Here's what we do:

No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe. If you ever suspect someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information as long as you're working with us, plus long enough to meet tax and legal requirements. Tax records generally stay on file for 3–7 years (depending on your situation and IRS rules). You can ask us to delete your data anytime, though we may need to keep some records for legal or tax compliance reasons.

Children and minors

Our service is for adults, not kids. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we somehow find out we did, we'll delete it right away.
